The Pond Recruitment is searching for a Marketing Manager on behalf of our new Distribution and Logistics client. This is a newly created role that will suit someone senior who is proven in their marketing career, and looking to take their experience and knowledge in brand and marketing to a new level. We’re looking for someone to take full ownership of overall marketing plan, growing brand presence, and management of the marketing budget.

Lead the overall marketing function for a leading New Zealand brand that enables the efficiency and safety of logistics and material handling. Provide strategy, planning and activity that supports the sales team with strong product awareness and sales growth.

As the new Marketing Manager, you will maximise market penetration by creating effective marketing action. You will assist with launching new products by identifying target markets and be responsible for all social media channels. A key focus will be to create more interaction between sales and marketing and new and existing customers.

The breakdown

We are looking for a Marketing Manager with experience in:

  • Budget management experience
  • Communication and leadership
  • Creating innovative marketing campaigns
  • Online marketing strategy and social media
  • Managing print media, i.e. catalogue
  • Managing a telemarketing team
  • Working across videos, website content and product imagery

Key responsibilities include:

  • Creating marketing strategies and collateral that translate to sales
  • Develop pricing strategy in conjunction with other business functions
  • Create marketing presentations for external stakeholders
  • Monitor, review and report on all marketing activities and results
  • Liaise with media and advertising channels
  • Manage all relevant social media channels
  • Manage 3rd party marketing activities of CCP and SEO
  • Develop case studies and blogs using CMS
  • Creating and sending email campaigns
  • Updating website CMS system
  • Manage website to gain maximum ROI
  • Present and execute ways to maximise market penetration using campaign strategy 

Are you someone who is:

  • A thinker and a doer, i.e. have ideas and know how to execute them
  • Not afraid to do the day-to-day work needed to implement strategies
  • Detailed focused with a good understanding of data, videos and photos
  • Able to be the glue between sales and marketing
